Juliana Dumas creates one-of-a-kind sculptural and utilitarian objects from clay, fibers and metal. She received a BFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design from Indiana University in 2010 and worked in handmade paper, glass and jewelry production before beginning to work with clay in 2014. She is currently an instructor and studio tech at East Side Pot Shop, Austin Pottery and Austin Clay Arts.

Juliana achieves dynamic hand-built and wheel-thrown forms through experimentation and improvisation with rich surfaces from atmospheric firings. Her tactile and intricate ceramic objects are meant to elevate everyday rituals.
