Juliana Dumas creates one-of-a-kind sculptural and utilitarian objects from clay, fibers and metal. She received a BFA in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design from Indiana University in 2010 and worked in handmade paper, glass and jewelry production before beginning to work with clay in 2014. She currently teaches hand-building and wheel-throwing at Austin Pottery.

Juliana achieves dynamic hand-built and wheel-thrown forms through experimentation and improvisation with rich surfaces from atmospheric firings. Her tactile and intricate ceramic objects are meant to elevate everyday rituals.
